MARITIME DAY CELEBRATION AT RL INSTITUTE OF NAUTICAL SCIENCES
On 5th of April 2010, RL Institute of Nautical Sciences celebrated the 47th National Maritime Day. The celebration was arranged in a solemn and stately organized manner at the Institute’s Parade ground. The theme given by the DG shipping ‘Seafaring: a career of opportunities' was the highlight of the Maritime Day celebration. This day is celebrated every year to commemorate the sailing of the first Indian Merchant Naval Ship S.S. Loyalty on April 5th, 1919 from Mumbai to London.
