NATIONAL LEVEL MARITIME QUIZ
NATIONAL LEVEL MARITIME QUIZ – 2011
National Maritime Day Celebrations committee (NMDCC), Kochi conducted The National level Maritime Quiz – 2011, on 19th & 20th February 2011.
RLINS was represented by 2 teams of 2 cadets each –
Team A : Cdt. Sushobhit Subrata Maity (ME-IV) & S.Abhishek Narayan (NT-III).
Team B: Â Cdt. Warik Ashay Ashok (ME-IV) & Cdt.Kshitij V (NT-III).
The Chief Guest of the event was Shri. S. Hajara, Chairman & MD of SCI. Other dignitaries included:
- Mr. Paul Antony, IAS – Chairman, Kochi Port Trust.
- Capt. L. K. Panda – Principal Officer – MMD Kochi,
- Mr. M. P. John – Dy Chief Surveyor, Directorate General of Shipping.
More than 50 teams had come to participate from all over the country. After various elimination rounds 6 teams made it to the final round. RLINS Team A was one of them.
The final was conducted on February 20 2011 at 0900hrs. After 2 hours of quizzing, the final scorecard read:
RLINS – 1st Position with 25 points.
MANET – 2nd Position with 17 points.
TOLANI  – 3rd position with 16 points.
The prize distribution ceremony followed with RLINS bagging the first prize which carried a cash award of Rs 25000/-
