ALUMNI MEET-2011
RLIMS organized Alumni Meet on 09th October 2011. The date of this Meet was incorporated in the Academc Calendar itself and the news spread far and wide. Many of the alumni played active role in contacting their batchmates and others. The Meet was attended by 70 alumni of batches that graduated in year 2000 to 2011. There was enthusiasm amongst alumni and it was a great pleasure to know about their accomplishments in professional lives. Some of them were visiting their Alma Mater for the first time since their graduation, and naturally were thrilled to be back in the campus again.
The President, Dr. R. Lakshmipathy presided over the Alumni Meet and delivered an inspring speech. Addressing the meet Director, Dr M D Manoharan, welcomed Alumni and Dr R Srinivsan and Er R Lakshmipathy gave the felicitation address
Mrs.S.Shankari, Lecturer and Convenor of Alumni Meet 2011 presented a report on the Achievements of students and faculties of
RLIMS and various events at RLIMS during the Academic year 2010-2011. Dr.S.Sriram introduced the Co-ordinators and the President Dr.R.Lakshmipathy honoured the Co-ordinators with a momento. Dr.S.Pugalanthi proposed vote of thanks.
In the post lunch session, the alumni visited college campus and hostel campus and witnessed the recent progress and activities. After the presentation, discussion on the future developments ensued and alumni came up with many suggestions regarding the syllabus of courses, the venue of the next Alumni Meet Team etc. They also offered their services in the growth of Department. Many smaller groups of Alumni, faculty could be seen chatting and sharing memories till evening.
A feed back was also collected from alumni regarding the organizational aspects of the Meet. The Alumni Meet closed at a very emotional note. However, everyone appreciated the efforts by the RLIMS in organizing the Meet in a grand manner. Everyone departed with the resolve to visit again and spread the message amongst all who could not visit this time
