17th Annual Sports Day
Sports Day
The 17th Annual Sports Meet of Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science and R.L. Institute of Management Studies, was held on 7th January, 2012 at the campus.
Dr. C. Ashok, Associate Professor, Department of Physical Education, Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College, Sivakasi, was the Chief Guest. The function began with the March Past performed by the members of all the four houses namely Rockers, Thrillers, Challengers and Sparklers. The Chief Guest lit the Olympic Torch and then it was lifted by Captains of all Houses. Students of I B.Sc. CS and IT gave a dazzling performance of the Human Pyramid formation. Arulnithi of I B.Sc. CS did a wonderful Silambam performance. The Chief Guest and all the college officials gave their appreciation for the same. The Chief Guest and other dignitaries of the college insisted on the role of Physical Education in maintaining a sound mind and sound body. The Chief Guest gave away the prizes to al the prize winners. Rockers House bagged the overall championship for Athletics and Team Games. The function came to a close with vote of thanks, by Seenivasan, III B.Sc. Animation, Sports Secretary, followed by National Anthem.
