PRIZE WINNING SPREE
Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI), Mumbai, conducted an All India Essay
Competition during November, 2011, at Indian Maritime University, Mumbai Campus. Cadets
from many Marine Institutes spread throughout the country participated in this competition.
The contest was conducted in two levels; one topic was from the Engineering sector and the
other topic was from the General category.
In the General Category, Cdt.M.Prem from RLINS won the first prize (Cash prize Rs.3,000) and
the Second prize was also bagged by RLINS Cdt. Guruprasath J. (Cash prize Rs.2,000)
In the Engineering Category, RLINS cadets Keerthitharan T., Balamurugan N. and Surya J.J.
won the third prize and they share the cash award, getting Rs.700 each.
It is worth mentioning that out of the four prizes, three are won by RLINS cadets.
