Film Making and Television Production
The department of Film Making and Television Production, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of science, Madurai, organized a seminar about “Media Education and its career opportunities” on Aug 05, 2012 for +2 students in and around Madurai. 100 students and their parents took part in the workshop. M.Vetrivel, a student, welcomed the participants. Dr.S.Shunmugam, Principal, inaugurated the workshop. Mr.C.Manikandan, Coordinator of the Department briefed the participants about the Media Education and its importance for Film and Television industry. Ms.S.Valarmathi, Lecturer briefed the growth of Media Industry and its increasing demand in the present scenario. Students,Mr. Savari Manikandan, Mr.Devid Rathina Barathi and Ms.H.Aishwarya shared experiences about their studies in the college. Mr. S.Ragavendra Prasad, a student proposed the vote of thanks. The aim of the workshop was to create awareness about the career opportunities in Film and Television Industry among the youngsters.
