ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Commerce was established in the year 2008-09. With the blessings of almighty and  perseverant efforts made by the President and dedicated eminent scholars the Department offers B.Com., (Banking & Insurance) Course to the society in order to meet the needs of employability. The course is conducted under the autonomous stream so that the academic freedom is  ensured. The college has made tie-up with Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, Mumbai to get ‘Diploma in Banking and Finance’ and students are permitted to appearthe IIBF exam twice during the course of study. At present, five faculty members are rendering services for the  development of the course.

“To enrich knowledge, enhance the skills, encapsulate the emerging developments and enlightening the students in the area of commerce field to suit the need of the society with ethics.”

ABOUT THE SEMINAR
Among the service sectors, banking and insurance play a significant role both in National and Global Market. In the last two decades in the post reforms period these sectors’ growths are very predominant in the India’s Corporate than the manufacturing sectors. To enhance the profitability of banks, banks are permitted into various fund and risk related business. The Government of India during August2000 issued a notification specifying ‘insurance’ as a permissible form of business that could be undertaken by banks under Section 6(1) (o) of the BR Act, 1949 and to allow banks’ entry into insurance business and issued detailed guidelines in August 2000. Updating the changes happening in both banking and insurance sectors is essential to the students, faculty and other beneficiaries. To enhance and visualize the updates, the college is proud to organize a NATIONAL SEMINAR ON “BANKING AND INSURANCE – VISION 2020”.
